Meet Candice
Language changes lives — and I am passionate about being part of that transformation. As an English instructor, I help adult learners gain confidence, express themselves clearly, and step into new opportunities. I believe learning should feel human, encouraging, and practical — grounded in real communication and real connection — never rushed or intimidating.
My Story
My love of language began early, having lived in Dakar, Sénégal, Africa surrounded by French, Wolof, and a vibrant multicultural community. Those experiences shaped my belief that language is more than grammar — it’s connection, culture, and understanding.
As an adult educator, I specialize in working with professionals who need English for their careers, workplace communication, and real-world success. Many of my students use English in meetings, presentations, interviews, and daily business interactions. My energetic, flexible, and encouraging approach helps them build confidence, communicate clearly, and perform at a higher level — without fear of making mistakes.
Clarity Over Perfection
Learning should feel manageable, clear, and freeing — not overwhelming.
Adult-Centered Learning
Lessons respect adult experiences, time constraints, and goals.
Real-World Communication
Focus on language you’ll actually use in daily life, work, and relationships.
My Background
I hold a 150-hour TEFL certification, TESOL test-prep and online teaching certifications, and a Bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in French. I’ve taught adult learners both online and in person, working with students at different levels and with a variety of goals. I love helping students gain confidence, improve their fluency, and feel comfortable expressing themselves in English.

A quick note…
Learning a language takes courage. My role isn’t to judge or correct harshly — it’s to guide, support, and encourage you as you grow. Progress happens when learners feel safe, respected, and understood.
